Do you enjoy reading your journal entries later? What bothers you more, standing over a smoking corpse recording your fight or sitting down at the fire later and not remembering exactly what happened?įor me, it depends on what I'm fighting. If you like writing, keep doing it.īut no one is going to complain about you writing too much except you. If you're feeling bogged down, write less. I don't see any problem with how you have been using it. How do other people use this mod? Could somebody provide an example of a journal entry or something? I also love using the bestiary chapter to write down info on every beast I encounter, but it's a bit immersion breaking to just stand there after a fight and start writing. I tried only writing in it in the evenings and recording the events of the day, but then I end up feeling like I'm not writing enough and can't be specific as I can't remember details. And I start getting bogged down by it, like I'm spending too much time writing and not enough time playing. Solved a puzzle in a Nordic crypt? Jot that down. Got attacked and injured by wolves? Write it down.

See, I have a habit of basically writing down everything that happens to me in-game.

Since getting it I've created and deleted so many characters, rarely getting above lv20 before getting bored and starting again, but I feel like this mod may help me improve the longevity of my playthroughs if I can learn to use it correctly.

Except I have no idea how best to use it. A long time ago I started using Take Notes! Journal of the Dragonborn by Lord Conti, and I love it.
